I am so very proud of our girls :) They did an amazing job at the Eagle Cup under very trying circumstances! I don't know that any one of us could say that we could have stayed in every game with hardly any substitutions like they did. On friday we held our own and got lots of great opportunities - Congrats to Isabella for scoring the first goal! We are very happy to have you on Team Pinkalicious & I see a wonderful player emerging!! Our defense got a workout at the tournament, as did our Goalies. For never having played the Keeper position before, EVERY girl on our team did REMARKABLY well :) Saturday was an emotional day for me, and the girls. No extra players to sub and give anyone rest, both teams we played against were 7-8 year olds (who looked to be in 3rd grade!), and opposing coaches and players with less than commendable sportsmanship. I hope that each girl who participated feels as proud of themselves as I do of them. I am more excited about our season than ever. Most importantly, if you haven't done so already, give your girls a big hug, tell them how much you enjoyed seeing them give their all on the soccer field, seeing them show the best sportsmanship by picking up their teammates when the fell, and especially how proud you are of them for never giving up.
It is not how big you are, it's how big you play. ~Author Unknown
